About Kevin

Kevin Coyne is a director of photography who has shot award-winning projects for many different clients and brands including Facebook, Lowe’s, Toyota, and Aleve. He collaborates with directors to design story-driven cinematography, specializing in commercials and brand films. 

Kevin began his career in 2011 as a set electrician on feature films. Working alongside world-renown cinematographers, he learned the crafts of lighting, composition, and leadership. His passion for storytelling led him to work as a gaffer on commercials for McDonald’s, GE Lighting, and ESPN, honing his creative style and collaboration skills. Kevin now specializes as a director of photography on commercial projects, driven by his desire for visual storytelling.

Freelancing has brought Kevin around the globe, and these experiences have been the fuel for his creativity. From the way the light spreads the sky in the Netherlands to the waterfalls of Iceland and the epic landscapes of New Zealand, all of these and more have shaped the lens through which Kevin approaches a project. 

Kevin is based out of Cleveland, Ohio, and works all over the country including Columbus, Pittsburgh, New York, and throughout the American Midwest.
